New baby, new blog post

Hi!  So, we have a new arrival in the house (well, new-ish).  Alexander Joseph Baus was born on June 16th, 2014, weighing 8lbs and 5oz.

Here he is at 2 days old:

He has been quickly getting bigger, and has grown out of all of his clothes twice now.

However, he is just a perfect baby.  He loves to smile and laugh, and we all love playing with him.

We have had another temporary addition to our household.  Our new Au Pair, Viry, arrived in May of this year.  We have really enjoyed getting to know her, and she has been having a lot of fun with the kids.

Let's see, we have been playing outside, riding powerwheels....
(okay, that picture may be partly there to show off how pretty the view was that day :))

Providing our own power to our wheels...

And swimming.

Last weekend, we had a great time at the county fair.  I think we are on our way to becoming true T-county residents.

I hope everyone is doing well.  More soon!

Introducing Avery Patricia Baus!

We had our baby! Avery was born on November 28th, 2011 at 7:31 am. She weighed 9lbs 13oz and was 20 inches long. Over the last two weeks, she has been doing wonderfully, and eating and sleeping well. The boys are so excited to have a little sister!

Here are some pics...

Joe and I waiting to go in the OR

And so many people came to visit in the hospital. I blame Joe for not getting enough pictures!!! We are missing most of Avery's grandparents. Here is mom though :)

And Uncle David

Daddy and baby

And great-grandma came over to visit the day we got back from the hospital. We were so excited to show off our baby girl!

And here are a few more pics of Avery

You gotta love those giant flowers Aunt Lo got her :)

And we'll end with some pics of the boys because they are still so cute.

Happy Halloween!!

Hey, I know that I haven't posted in a looong time, but Diz finally made me promise to update (thanks Diz!) so here we are.
We have had a great year. We finished residency, moved out to a small hospital with tons of family around (which is wonderful), we made some new friends, and we made a new person. We are expecting at the end of November.

So, we've been up to a lot this year. We celebrated Christmas.

Sat on Santa's lap. (Thanks to papa for taking this picture)

Pickle was baptized. Doesn't he look so cute?

The boys helped me cook in the kitchen.

And learn to make bread (yum!).

We played inside...

(and nana played too)

And outside. In the cold...

...and as it got warmer.

We spent a lot of time looking for worms.

We celebrated Declan's Birthday. (Happy third Declan!)

We celebrated Father's Day. (Guys, you are supposed to sit behind the picture)

We moved! The boys helped us pack.

And unpack

And we had a great summer here. A lot of it was spent at Tuscora Park.

Now, it's Halloween again! The boys love their costumes. Declan couldn't sit still for the family photo...(from Yo Gabba Gabba, Pickle is Brobie, I am Foofa, and Joe is D.J. Lance Rocks).

...but here he is as Plex, the magic robot.

Here they are again, excited to go to a Halloween Party!

We are trick or treating tomorrow night, and are so excited! I will post again soon. We should have some newborn baby pictures to post in a few more weeks.

out on a rainy day

So, we have had a pretty fun day today. It's raining outside, but that didn't stop the boys from wanting to go out. I tried to pick the least wet time (which of course quickly turned into the hardest it had rained all day), and we went out and jumped in puddles.

Dec jumped right in

And here he is saying "cheese!"

Pickle did his share of jumping too, but I didn't get any pictures because he can't jump by himself yet. Nevertheless, here he is in his rain gear

And here is Dec when he really got into it

Other than that, we have been doing loads of fun stuff, but I hardly have any pictures! We went to Thanksgiving at mom and dads, and the food was great! Mom has left for Kenya. I will have to ask her if it's okay to publish the pictures she sent. She is amazing.
We have also done a lot of hanging around the house. We have all been playing with Declan's pretend tool set, and tried on his saftey goggles.

And Pickle

Well, I didn't actually get any pictures of him wearing them because he decided the camera was more interesting, but trust me, he did.

And I will leave you with some more of Dec-man's "cheeses." If you would like to see more, email me. I have about 3,458 pictures of Dec saying "cheese." Almost all of them are blurry.
